Having Sex in a World that Wants You Dead is the new EP by metagoth etherego Ignatz Höch. Presenting three original minimalists show-tunes and a Bratmobile cover, Having Sex is about political resistance through pleasure. It is directly inspired by Dušan Makavejev’s 1971 film about sexual liberation in the soviet block, W.R.: Mysteries of the Organism. A departure from Goth Phase Forever, their album released earlier this year, this is more social in concept and more pop in production. A soundtrack for when your existence is met with violence and simply living is overtly political. This is ice-cream in a world of pepper spray.

Ignatz Höch is a part of a wider art practice of Tom Moore, who is among other things is working on a fantasy screenplay based on the life of Montgomery Clift and recently released their photography project Wasp Galls. They also perform with Body of Work making wall of non-binary digital noise.

They have exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery London, and the ICA. Their films have been screened at the London Independent Film Festival, Donau Festival and legendary underground film night The Pictures. They teach drawing.
